ClipCourt
ClipCourt is a video editing app provided by Kostas Papadopoulos. This policy describes how ClipCourt handles information when you use the app, visit this website, or contact us.
Version 1.2.0 update: The forthcoming update adds the US-only activity counts and export diagnostics described below. Activity counting is automatic and has no opt-out; export diagnostics have a separate switch in Settings. Earlier distributed versions do not send these measurements. This policy describes the update being prepared for App Store review; publication of this policy does not install or release that update.
ClipCourt never uploads your video content to our servers. Logging does not capture or analyze what appears or is said in your videos. Editing and exporting take place on your device. We also do not collect filenames, folder paths, annotations, team names, scores, or project contents through logging. Projects and preferences are stored locally. Media you select or save may also be managed by Apple Photos, iCloud, or a storage provider you choose, according to your own settings.
ClipCourt uses photo-library and file access to import selected videos and save exports. You control these permissions through your device settings. Choosing to share an export sends it only through the destination you select.
In version 1.2.0, ClipCourt sends a limited set of measurements from eligible US connections to our own service, hosted by Cloudflare. We collect limited export diagnostics to maintain reliability and improve the export experience:
Export diagnostics do not include your name, email address, videos, filenames, team names, user identifiers, installation identifiers, advertising identifiers, or precise location. We do not create individual usage histories, use analytics for advertising, sell analytics data, or combine it with information from other apps or websites.
The service stores daily totals and category counts, including export outcomes by technical setting and limited comparisons of export mode, scoreboard inclusion, and duration ranges, rather than individual event records, complete combinations of settings, or a history for an installation. We do not collect returning-user reports. These counts are approximate and do not identify or count unique people.
In version 1.2.0, ClipCourt automatically reports activity from eligible US connections to estimate how many installations are active and which device categories they use. At most one report is attempted per UTC day and one per calendar month. Each report contains only the reporting period, device category (iPhone, iPad, Mac, or other), report type, and schema version. Local date markers suppress repeated reports; no user or installation identifier is generated or sent for counting.
The service stores aggregate period and device-category counts. We use these estimates to understand audience size and app usage and guide product improvements. They do not identify or count unique people and cannot link activity to export reports or reconstruct an installation's history.
Activity counting is automatic for connections identified as being in the United States, with no opt-in prompt or in-app opt-out. Export diagnostics are also enabled by default for eligible US connections, but can be turned off separately. The service rejects activity and export measurements from all other and unknown countries. Editing and exporting remain available regardless of regional eligibility or network connectivity.
You can turn off Settings → Privacy → Share export diagnostics at any time. Turning it off prevents future export measurements and their country checks, and cancels pending export-diagnostic delivery. It does not disable activity counting or the country checks used for it. The setting does not affect any editing or export feature. Requests already transmitted cannot be recalled.
Before sending an activity or export report, the app contacts the service to check regional eligibility without including report details. This check can occur outside the United States. Cloudflare processes the connection's IP address and supplies an approximate country for the check. We do not use GPS or retain the IP address or country in our statistics database. Network-based location is approximate, does not establish residence, and can be affected by VPNs and travel. Debug and TestFlight builds do not send these requests or measurements.
We use Cloudflare Workers and D1 to receive measurements and store aggregate statistics. Cloudflare processes service data on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum. We have disabled Workers request logging and do not log measurement payloads. Network delivery nevertheless exposes connection information, including IP addresses, to Cloudflare, which also processes network information to operate and protect its services under its own terms and privacy policy. Those activities are separate from our aggregate database.
Cloudflare and Vercel operate international infrastructure, so connection information may be processed outside your country. Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum describes its transfer safeguards, including the applicable Data Privacy Framework arrangements and standard contractual clauses. We do not claim that all information remains in the United States or that no personal information is processed in transit.
This website is hosted by Vercel. Visiting it involves ordinary web requests, including an IP address and browser information, which Vercel processes to deliver and protect the site. The website does not add analytics scripts or advertising trackers. See Vercel's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Apple may provide App Store usage and diagnostic reports under Apple's own settings and policies. Those reports are separate from the custom statistics described here. If purchases are offered, Apple handles payment information through the App Store; we do not receive payment-card details.
The service retains aggregate counters for a rolling 90-day window, with automated daily deletion based on the reporting period. Monthly counters use the first day of the calendar month as their retention date. Cloudflare D1's Free plan provides a seven-day recovery window, so deleted counters may remain recoverable in backups for up to seven additional days. After a database recovery, expired counters are deleted again before reporting resumes. Cloudflare's separate operational and security information is retained according to its own policies and applicable obligations.
Measurements awaiting delivery are held briefly in app memory, are not saved as an offline history, and are discarded if delivery fails. Because the aggregate counters contain no installation identifier, we cannot retrieve or remove an individual installation's contribution from those totals. The Settings switch stops future export-diagnostic contributions; activity counting is separate and has no in-app opt-out. Your local projects and preferences remain under your control; removing the app does not delete exports saved separately to Photos or another folder.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending videos or sensitive information unless necessary for your request. You can ask us to delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact clipcourt.app@gmail.com for questions or requests. We do not collect additional identifying information solely to identify a contribution to aggregate statistics.
ClipCourt does not require an account or ask for a child's name or contact details. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support, please contact us so we can address it.
We will update this policy when our practices change and provide additional notice where required.
